Transitional Preschool is the “stepping stone” to preschool. This is a time when children are moving from parallel play into cooperative play. In this group of late 2- and early 3-year olds, we focus on social skills, self-help skills, and potty training. The teachers help facilitate these developmental milestones while offering a variety of experiences to promote learning in the areas of science, math, reading, and writing. The daily schedule includes a balance of security and routine. This combination allows the children to comfortably follow their individual interests in a predictable and comfortable environment.
